Barrie Anxiety Clinic is a family mental health center, offering psychoeducation, treatment, and counseling for all types of anxiety and concurrent conditions affecting children, youth and adults.
We use only evidence-based therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT).
We are trauma, adversity, culturally, and LGBTQ+ informed.
Our counseling approach extends beyond psychological issues, taking into account clients` personal, cultural, social, environmental, and biological factors.
We work with parents, caregivers, schools, and communities to help our clients achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.
At Barrie Anxiety Clinic, we take a transformative approach to personal and community mental health and biopsychosocial wellness: we don`t just throw a lifeline - we teach you how to swim!
Heartbroken by the amount of children, youth, and adults who are underserved, misdiagnoses, overmedicated, and unable to access qualified psychotherapy, BAC founder Yuliya Levina chose a proactive rather than reactive approach to emotional, behavioural, and social health. She designs and facilitates cognitive behavioural skill-building programs to prevent the development of anxiety disorders, addictions, and other biopsychosocial challenges.
Our vision is a world where everyone has the skills to understand and navigate their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. When life gets tough, they know exactly how to respond, preventing serious mental health conditions and self-destructive patterns before they take hold.
Our mission is not just to empower but to equip youth and adults with practical cognitive and behavioural tools, enabling them develop the skills needed to approach life’s challenges with resilience and confidence. Rather than fully relying on professional help, friends, family, or other external recourses - which can sometimes be unavailable, unhelpful, or even harmful - they gain the ability to navigate difficulties independently.
